EXPERIENCE

CEO / Bohemian Dreamer / 2018-2024 (7 years)
Bohemian Dreamer is a metaphysical crystal shop in Sedona, Arizona that Rachel opened in 2018. Located in the Arts District, it has become a premier destination for those seeking higher wisdom and a more personalized and authentic shopping experience while in Sedona. The shop carries all of Rachel’s books, oracle cards, art, pottery, crystals, jewelry, and more. Rachel offers psychic readings, art classes, sound healings, and even spoon bending. This beautiful shop offers many incredible experiences that cannot be found elsewhere.

CEO / Dream Magic Publications / 2017-2024 (8 years)
Dream Magic Publications was created as a way to self publish Rachel’s extensive catalog of books and oracle decks, but it quickly expanded into something even greater. Having a strong background in magazine publication and graphic design enabled Rachel to navigate the world of print, publishing, and copyrights with grace and ease. After perfecting the process over the first few years, Dream Magic Publications was able to open its doors to other clients who also needed help publishing and printing their own books and oracle decks.

CEO & Creative Director / Bohemi+Chic / 2014-2020 (6 years)

Bohemi+Chic was a premier Shopify partner, specializing in eCommerce sites for fashion brands around the world. Rachel managed the company and oversaw a highly experienced team of designers and developers. The main focus of the agency was website design, branding, packaging, and social media. Rachel worked with an impressive number of clients, mainly in fashion. The industry was highly demanding, and the business grew so much, that Rachel sold Bohemi+Chic in early 2020. It was at this point that Rachel retired from graphic design to focus on her own brands.

Creative Director / HALLMARK / 2014-2016 (3 years)

Rachel was offered the position of Creative Director for Hallmark’s eCard division in Los Angeles in early 2014. This was the same year she founded Bohemi+Chic, so she agreed to the position while managing her own design agency simultaneously. While at Hallmark, Rachel oversaw a team of in-house designers and was responsible for creating eCards for every holiday you can imagine. Rachel enjoyed this position for three years, until the eCard division was shut down by Hallmark, shortly after Rachel left Los Angeles and relocated to Sedona.

Partner & Creative Director / designRACY / 2008-2014 (7 years)

Rachel established designRACY in Venice Beach shortly after moving from Detroit to Los Angeles. It was during this time that she began to work with fashion clients in Los Angeles and became a Shopify expert, specializing in eCommerce and building fashion websites. She ran this business successfully with a partner for five years before leaving to start her own independent venture. Many of the clients from designRACY followed Rachel to her new agency, maintaining their relationships with Rachel for many more years to come.

Art Director / SIX DEGREES MAGAZINE / 2006-2008 (2 years)

Rachel got her start out of college as an advertising graphic designer in Detroit for a magazine called Six Degrees Magazine (currently renamed 944 Magazine). She was in charge of creating advertisements for clients as well as designing spreads for the magazine. Six months after starting this position, she received an offer from Saturn and became an Art Director with the car company. She continued to work with the magazine as well as Saturn over the next two years. In 2008 she left Detroit to move to Los Angeles, leaving behind both positions to venture out on her own.

Bachelor of Fine Arts / WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY / 2001-2006

Rachel graduated with honors in 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Western Michigan University. Her final three years at Western were spent in a specialized graphic design program that only accepted 20 applicants per year and was highly competitive. Her final year included an internship and a professional development trip to New York. Rachel graduated with a 4.0 GPA and has been active in her Fine Arts degree ever since.

Rachel is passionate about helping others through her creativity. Her greatest joy comes from watching dreams come to life through design and creative expression.
